Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. The 2019 Fall WasteWise Forum, Wednesday November 13, UMass Dartmouth, Dartmouth, MA
Event Description
UMass Dartmouth will host the 2019 Fall WasteWise Forum on Wednesday November 13, 8:30AM – 12:00PM. The WasteWise Forum is a joint program run by RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA).
This forum will focus on reducing contamination in collection programs and using technology to donate and reduce food waste. Presenters from UMass Dartmouth will discuss the variety of waste reduction programs they have in their dining facilities, dorms, and public spaces. Attendees will also learn about ways to utilize technology platforms to reduce and recover wasted food during presentations from Boloco and Food for All. The Forum will conclude with an optional tour of UMass Dartmouth’s food waste diversion and recycling programs. Attendees will have opportunities to network with local businesses, institutions, and recyclers.
