NYSERDA’s Multifamily Team offers programs to support and spur adoption of energy efficiency in multifamily properties. Two current offers are the Multifamily Performance Program (MPP) and Real Time Energy Management (RTEM). MPP is an incentive program through which NYSERDA-qualified Multifamily Building Solutions Providers work with building owners and managers to create a customized plan for energy savings along with reduced energy bills. The RTEM program provides cost-share incentives for project expenses related to the installation and servicing of an RTEM system that collects live and historical performance data that can be analyzed to identify optimization opportunities for the site’s energy usage.

NYSERDA’s New Construction program offers support to residential developers and builders for the construction and renovation of energy-efficient single-family homes, townhomes, low-rise multifamily buildings, and high-rise multifamily buildings. Projects designed and constructed with support from these programs use proven technologies and advanced building practices. In addition to program offers and incentives, this year NYSERDA launched the three-round, $30 million competition, Buildings of Excellence. Learn more about the competition at nyserda.ny.gov/boe.
