IEEE PES Boston Chapter Women in Power
The IEEE PES Boston Chapter Women in Power initiative promotes diversity of leadership in the power and energy industry by providing leadership opportunities, professional skills, and networking opportunities. The IEEE PES Women in Power focuses on developing early- to mid-career candidates for leadership positions through recognition and leadership education, as well as providing networking opportunities and resources to help women advance their careers.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) was founded in 1865 to create and convey the latest science and engineering knowledge in ways that are most beneficial to society.
Today, WPI holds firm to its founding mission to provide an education that balances theory with practice, a philosophy symbolized by the towers of our two original buildings.
In January 2018, WPI opened WPI Seaport’s location in Boston’s Innovation District, offering convenient space for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to connect with industry, academic, and government partners and agencies. WPI Seaport is a 6,400-square-foot facility that accommodates tech suites, meeting areas, open-concept spaces, and working spaces. Designed with collaboration and innovation in mind, the ideas sparked here will incorporate WPI’s project-based learning model, research being done on campus, and community projects near the Seaport to develop innovations that lead to impact across the Commonwealth.
