Event: Los Angeles Women in Green - Breakfast, 4/14, 7:30 AM - 10:00 AM, Los Angeles, CA
Event Description
Event: Los Angeles Women in Green - Breakfast
Friday, April 14
7:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Please join us for a discussion on social justice at the Los Angeles Women in Green - Breakfast.
Since November, new fault lines have emerged around a wide range of issues, ranging from labor and development to immigration and healthcare, civil liberties, immigration, climate change and women’s rights. Many of these issues impact women in the green arena both personally and professionally.
Women in the green building movement care about making the world a better place. But what does that really mean and how can we join a broader “movement of movements”? Where are opportunities for us to take the lead, and how can we be good allies to communities that are on the front lines?
Join us as we begin to explore these complex questions with leaders from the LA community in the areas of labor, law and social equity. Hear about the communities they serve, the greatest needs they have, their greatest sources of hope, and how women in green can play a role.
