Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Free Green Building Webinar: HSW Considerations for Large Vertical Openings, March 15, 12-1pm EDT
Event Description
In this one-hour course, we’ll discuss flexible spaces that use large, vertical openings and their designs and customizations that can contribute to health, safety, and welfare of the building occupants. We will also talk about environmental impacts of your opening’s design and how that can affect your choice in door type and final design.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and articulate customizations and design options to decrease acoustical impacts, or increase energy, and air infiltration efficiency
- Confidently discuss safety features, egress needs, and available options to consider for emergency situations
- Describe specialty cladding options and potential ratings for impact and wind rated systems
- Design and specify safe flexible spaces with minimal environmental impact or hazardous materials
