Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

Event Description
According to NASA and NOAA global temperature reports, 2023 was the world's hottest year on record, and rising temperature trends are only predicted to continue. School systems across the country are already faced with challenges in combating the heat, from canceled school days and changing school year calendars due to lacking air conditioning to serving as community cooling centers. This webinar will focus on extreme heat mitigation strategies at schools, including schoolyards, ventilation systems, and resilient power systems, through case studies and research presented by school leaders and field experts. Following the webinar, attendees will have the opportunity to join breakout discussions on each mitigation strategy led by the expert presenters.
