Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. Green Jobs Forum (8th Annual) & Career Fair with Resilient Virginia – August 26, 2021
Event Description
Leaders in Energy will conduct its 8th Annual Green Jobs Forum & Career Fair on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 1:30 – 6:30 pm EDT.
Our theme is “The Moment is Now for Green Jobs!” In the Forum, speakers will examine trends and opportunities for green jobs, those have landed green jobs will share their tips and advice for finding one, and recruiters in the green arena who provide their insights about the positions they are seeing.
In addition, the Career Fair will enable attendees to meet with green employers who are hiring and educators who are offering green certifications. See the schedule further below.
This year, our Forum will be conducted with Resilient Virginia’s annual conference on August 25-27th titled “From Recovery to Resilience – Moving to Vibrant, Healthy and Equitable Communities.”

Career Fair “Meet and Greet”
Meet with our Career Fair Exhibitors which include companies which are hiring, nonprofits offering volunteer positions, educators offering green certifications, and those knowledgeable about gaining employment.
Peggy is Director of Global Environmental Sustainability for LinkedIn. In this role, she drives strategy and programs to achieve sustainability excellence for LinkedIn’s operations and shares best practices and resources to support climate progress for other businesses and individuals. Peggy leads initiatives to implement LinkedIn’s ambitious Carbon Negative, Water Positive and Zero Waste commitments. She established an internal carbon fee and a grantmaking fund to invest in environmental justice. Her team spearheads energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment, innovative green and healthy building standards, and sustainable sourcing. To scale impact and accelerate the global transformation to a green economy, Peggy works cross-enterprise to deploy LinkedIn’s online platform and products to support green companies, green jobseekers, green skill-building and green thought leadership. Peggy also advocates to federal and state governments for green jobs and carbon pricing.
Her prior roles include Sustainability Lead for the US Department of State’s Mission to the Netherlands, strategy consultant to the Global Reporting Initiative, and corporate loan officer for Wells Fargo Bank.
