Hempitecture: Hemp Building Workshop, Mackay, IN, July 5-7
Event Description
Join Hempitecture and French hempcrete expert Damien Baumer for a hands-on hemp building intensive workshop. This workshop is geared towards all skill levels.
For the first time in the United States, Hempitecture will be using spray machine technology to install hempcrete and are inviting builders of all backgrounds and those interested in learning about hempcrete to experience this technology at their workshop.
Hempitecture began in 2013 at the conclusion of a year long thesis study at Hobart College titled "The contemporary relevance of earth architecture". After evaluating a variety of natural building strategies, Hempitecture founder Mattie Mead became confident in hempcrete's potential as a green building material in the United States and devoted his career to making this a reality.
