Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Improving Resilience Through Microgrids & Battery Storage, October 19, 5:30-8:30pm, Washington, DC
Event Description
The utilization of microgrids plus battery storage is seen increasingly by public and private organizations as the wave of the future to help ensure energy reliability and security in the age of extreme weather events and cyber security threats. Our partner is Resilient Virginia, which works to accelerate resiliency planning in Virginia communities.
This event, which will take place at the Edison Electric Institute, will feature speakers and topics such as:
-Technology that supports the utility/microgrid interface
-Tools for developers to assess microgrid viability based on existing infrastructure and regulations
-How local governments in the DMV region are working with private companies to make microgrid development financially feasible
-How regional Department of Defense installations are including microgrids as part of their energy security systems
A number of companies and organizations will be exhibiting their solutions.
