Lighting the Way: Advocacy + Action for Lighting Design, Online, March 3, 5 pm
Event Description
This session is a deep dive for Lighting Advocacy Letter signatories and designers interested in advocating for holistic health in lighting; plus, lighting manufacturers looking to meet lighting sustainability demand are invited to attend.
Signing on to the Lighting Advocacy Letter is the first step towards greater transparency in the lighting industry. While the Lighting Advocacy Letter is one of the most recent materials pledges, it is already leading the way for others in turning words into transparency + action.
We will lay out next steps for signatories and explain how you can take the goals laid out in the letter, translate them to action items, and integrate them into your design practice. A toolkit will be presented to participants to provide a framework for integrating holistic sustainability into your current process and workflows.
This session is designed for letter signatories as well as designers/specifiers interested in building a powerful signal of transparency demand, plus manufacturers interested in supporting this demand are invited to attend (and sign onto a Manufacturer Materials Commitment).
Together we’re creating a new future for the industry and elevating the impact of sustainable design practices through the power of transparency.
Margie McNally, Interior Elements
Melissa Mattes, Sladen Feinstein
