Living Future's Workshop, Sharing Stories: Sustainability, Health and Equity in Affordable Housing, May 1, 2018, Portland, OR
Event Description
As with most professional events, a powerful part of the Affordable Housing Summit often occurs in the minutes before and after the proceedings themselves. Participants meet, introduce themselves, and tell stories of how they came to sit in the room. Connections are formed and experiences are shared. This year, the Institute is harnessing these influential moments as the foundation of the Summit.
As always, the Affordable Housing Summit will be an opportunity to learn about the latest resources, research and best practices in developing Living Affordable Housing. However, the theme of the session is “storytelling”. With expert facilitators and short narratives to kick off the conversations, small groups will explore what it really means to build Living Affordable Housing. We will cover themes such as “eco-gentrification”, what to do when you can’t do it all, health, and team building. Attendees will speak from their own experiences, and learn from the diversity of experiences in the room. They will emerge from the Summit with a deeper understanding of the pathways to build Living Affordable Housing from those that are really doing it.
You are eligible for a refund of this ticket less a $15 Service Fee, until all refunds close at 11:59pm on April 17, 2018.
Non-Member $75
