If you’re an accomplished salesperson who is passionate about CHANGING how buildings get built to dramatically reduce their impacts on the environment & human health – this job is for you! You will be a key contributor in this emerging business by selling our cloud software and services directly to manufacturers and influential industry trade associations throughout North America. This opportunity has enormous potential as Sustainable Minds expands during our current growth stage.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Starting with a large pipeline of prospects, you will be responsible for selling new and upselling existing accounts by contacting, evaluating, qualifying, networking, demonstrating, reporting and, of course, making goal. You will sell to all decision-maker and influencer roles including marketing, product stewardship, sustainability, product management.
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Primarily work from Kendall Square office in Cambridge, MA with work from home option when self-reliant. Candidates living in the Greater Boston area preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered.

Huge Plus:
Experience selling for building product manufacturers to building professionals
Experience in the green building industry – on either the BPM or AEC side
Knowledge of product transparency and green building
Strong passion for environmental sustainability
Startup experience
Responsibilities:
Sales process
Follow-up on leads generated from marketing activities including events, webinars and affiliate relationships
Effectively identify and manage opportunity and prospect lists; aggressively seek out additional opportunities
Engage customer by communicating benefits and value through the full sales cycle
Foster excellent customer relations to facilitate up-selling, add-on sales and account retention
Keep Salesforce.com current with leads, opportunities and relevant customer information; manage pipeline
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
Participate in marketing communications strategies and their execution
Knowledge development
Thorough knowledge of company products/services
Develop deep familiarity with Sustainable Minds business case and solutions
Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and competitive environment and SM's positioning
Collaboration
Interact professionally with company colleagues in a collaborative environment – take initiative
Assist with training new sales team members when proficient
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years inside sales experience with proven track record of B2B software sales building your pipeline and exceeding goal
Ambitious, self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication and time management skills; ability to work with minimal supervision
Outstanding communication skills verbal and written
Ability to give compelling web demos; some trade event participation
Software proficiency: Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
BA/BS in business or a technical discipline
