Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Our building tours committee is changing things up in December as we tour a net zero home in Neptune Beach and turn our event into an evening social!
Come tour Custom Builders’ new 6,400 sf Net Zero Energy model home, built under the Energy Star 3.1 program with a -15 HERS score.

-40 kw PV solar array with lithium ferrous phosphate backup battery array
-22kw whole house generator
-Water Furnace Series 7 geothermal heat pumps (EER 53)
-DeSupeheaters; 11” insulated concrete form walls (R-50)
-Heat pump water heaters
-SolarBan 70 XL, low E, argon filled, impact glass
-Energy Star rated aluminum roof and Icynene insulation
-On D’mand hot water circulating system
-Energy Star rated appliances, geothermal pool heating, variable speed pumps for geothermal and irrigation

Custom Builders
For 44 years, Custom Builders has been designing and building custom homes and commercial buildings with a focus on energy efficiency. For example, on their 1974 vintage 80,000 sf office building, which has an Energy Star rating of 96 out of 100, they have reduced the electrical consumption from 153,000 kwh to 63,000 kwh per month. All of their commercial LED parking lots get zero electric bills every month.
