Webinar on Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) 09/26, 7-8 pm, with Mass Climate Action Network (MCAN)
Event Description
Do you want everyone in your city or town to have more clean energy? Do you want to make a big cut in your climate pollution as a community?
Perhaps community choice aggregation (aka CCA, green aggregation or community choice energy) is right for you! It helps everyone in town cut their carbon footprint while making it easy and providing consumer protection.
CCA or CCE is a great tool cities and towns across the Commonwealth are using to move their communities towards 100% clean energy.
MCAN and 350 Mass, along with the Mass Power Forward coalition, invite you to join a webinar that will help you understand what aggregation is, how it can be used to get your community towards its climate goals, and how to get it done in your community. You will get a chance to hear from clean energy advocates in two communities that have to walk you through the process of writing and submitting a warrant article, as well as helping you think through the process of successfully passing it.
Where: Online - RSVP here, and we will send you instructions to get on the webinar 2 days ahead of time
(please note, you must RSVP to join this webinar)
You will get to hear how they did it and what made their effort successful.
There will be time for your questions, and we will share pre-existing language for enabling bylaws and resolutions that you can use in your town. So join us and help move your community in the right direction!
