Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Event Description
California Energy Code 2019: Challenges and Mandatory Changes
This three-hour session will bring you up to date on changes to the Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6) for residential and non-residential buildings. Will the code require rooftop solar for every new home? What changes in the 2019 code relate to the state’s long-term carbon reduction goals? Where is the code likely to go next? Get answers to these questions, and more, and come with your questions regarding compliance with existing code requirements.
CALGreen 2019: Challenges and Mandatory Changes
This two-hour session will help you understand the latest revisions to CALGreen (Title 24, part 11), the nation’s first mandatory green building standards. Find out about new and updated requirements for multifamily housing, EV charging, air quality, new requirements for schools and community colleges and more.

Scott is a currently a Strategic Business planner for energy efficiency and electrification at SMUD. His professional activities include:
• Member of the City of Sacramento, Mayor’s Commission on Climate Change, Technical Advisory Committee as a subject matter expert on the built environment including energy efficiency, energy codes, building electrification
• Member of the 2019 Reach Code working committee
• Member of the 2022 multifamily new construction code development group
• Active in the development of 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2022 energy codes through presentations and expert reporting to the CEC
• Teaching Title 24 Part 4 and Part 6 at Consumnes River College
• Multifamily Technical Committee, existing multifamily subject matter expert, Building Performance Institute, 2016 – 2019 and 2012 – 2013
