Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

Event Description
"This year in California, it felt like one step forward and two steps back for climate protection and environmental policy. Governor Brown committed the state to upholding the Paris Accord even when Trump backed out, extended the cap and trade program, and authorized millions for electric vehicle incentives. But in the same year, an energy storage initiative and bill that would require California to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2045 couldn't make it out of committee.
What do CA climate policies mean and look like after cap and trade being signed by Gov. Jerry Brown? Will California lead nationally -- and globally?
Join us as our panelists, coming from different backgrounds, explore how California is shaping a cleaner future for our state, and how California is leading others in our country, and the world, to protect both people and planet from the harmful effects of climate change."

Mary Solecki is the Western States Advocate for Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), covering state legislative and regulatory issues in California, Oregon and Washington.

Dana Zartner
Dana Zartner is currently an Association Professor and Chair of the International Studies Department at the University of San Francisco. Professor Zartner specializes in international and comparative law, with a focus on environmental protections and human rights.
Leila Salazar-Lopez
Leila is a mother; proud Chicana-Latina woman; and passionate defender of Mother Earth, the Amazon, indigenous rights and climate justice. Since 2015 she has served as the Executive Director of Amazon Watch, leading the organization in its work to protect and defend the bio-cultural and climate integrity of the Amazon rainforest by advancing indigenous peoples' rights, territories, and solutions, including solar for energy, communications and transport in the Amazon.

Lisa Ann Pinkerton is founder of Women In Cleantech & Sustainability, a San Francisco Bay Area group dedicated to the advancement of women in various environmental and technology sectors. She is also Founder and President of Technica Communications, where she handles marketing, social media, content production and public relations for cleantech and biotech startups.
Marcela Cabrera Luna
Marcela’s leadership has involved roles with engagement operations/partnerships, PM, policy, corporate social responsibility and marketing. She has worked with startups, NGO’s and Fortune 500 technology companies in the Silicon Valley.
