Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. ECN Neighborhood Sustainability Tours - July 17, Detroit, MI
Event Description
Join ECN for an inspiring tour of eastside Detroit's "rebirth next door" that highlights the physical and personal ways that Eastside Community Network does sustainable development. Rebirth can be seen in re-juvenated parks, rehabbed commercial property, and among renewed neighbors who derive leadership development and hope for the future from ECN's sustainable development programs. Each tour will take place on an air-conditioned bus and will include light refreshments. Narration will be provided by ECN President Donna Givens as well as other leaders and people who have benefited from ECN's impact in the community.
Tours are free, but we ask that you pre-register. (Other tour dates: July 17; August 15; and Sept. 13.) All tours will leave ECN promptly at 6:00 PM so plan to arrive early.
Optional, after-tour dinners (at your own expense) at Craftwork to continue the robust discussion will be there for the taking.
