Join the City of Boston and the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter for a training session on how to use Energy Star Portfolio Manager and comply with BERDO.

In 2017, the Building Energy Reporting and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO) requires the following buildings to report their annual energy and water usage for January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016:

Nonresidential buildings that are 35,000 square feet or larger.
Residential buildings that are 35,000 square feet or larger, or have 35 or more units.
Any parcel with multiple buildings that sum to 100,000 square feet or 100 units.
The Ordinance also requires these buildings to complete an energy assessment or an energy action every five years.

Event Schedule:

In the first half of the session, we will go over ordinance basics, compliance requirements, and steps to comply. The second half of the training will go into further detail on utility data aggregation and how to use Portfolio Manager, the free software used for energy benchmarking.
