Green Drinks Fort Collins Building Energy Challenge Colorado
Event Description

Green Drinks Fort Collins was created in January 2007 as a way to bring together green-minded locals and provide a venue to socialize, and make connections with others in the community who care about sustainability. All locals are invited to join if they have an interest in making our community more sustainable. Join USGBC Colorado on August 28th!

Higher scores equal lower utility bills – do you know how your building compares? Come learn about the City of Fort Collins’ effort to support renters and building owners in understanding their building’s efficiency through a voluntary Building Energy Challenge, and how you can become involved.

The Multifamily Building Energy Challenge supports property owners and managers in tracking their energy and water use, and using that data to improve efficiency of their property. The challenge offers opportunities for property owners and managers to boost their property’s brand with free marketing; distinguish themselves as leaders; reduce tenant turnover; and support a clean energy future for Fort Collins. Participants in the challenge will have the chance to win awards for their property’s performance and innovation. One volunteer who takes outstanding initiative in supporting tenant education efforts or in supporting properties in tracking their resource use will also have the chance to win an award.
