Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Online Course: LEED Exam Prep-Take-Teach for Teachers, March 15, 7 pm EST
Event Description
This program is for high school teachers who want to improve their own understanding of green building principles and strategies in order to better prepare students for green jobs. Teachers will be prepared to pass the LEED Green Associate exam using a curriculum they can deliver in their classrooms.
The cost of the course includes eight live sessions, online textbook, curriculum, and registration for the LEED Green Associate exam. Participants will attend the course during January-March 2022, and take the exam (at a time of their own choosing) between April-July 2022.
The sessions will include a mix of instruction and peer learning with fellow teachers, as well as independent reading prior to each session. Each participant will receive the "LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation Guide, LEED v4 Edition" which will be used to prepare for the exam, and plan strategies to engage students with green building concepts and career paths. The course slides will then be provided to participants to use in their classrooms.
