Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

SolarResilient: A New Tool for Resilient Solar & Storage Design Webinar on August 3
Event Description
Through a U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative grant, the City and County of San Francisco has developed a publicly available online tool for sizing solar PV and battery storage systems designed to deliver onsite power during an extended grid outage. SolarResilient.org is a first-of-its-kind tool that enables building and energy managers, architects, and sustainability and energy professionals to optimize solar and battery storage sizing to serve as a clean, reliable source of backup power for critical loads.
The tool allows building owners and city departments to develop preliminary solar and storage equipment sizing estimates before embarking on more detailed studies. SolarResilient.org can also be used on a portfolio of buildings so that optimum scenarios can be incorporated into a city or county’s energy resilience strategy. The tool is freely available for public use and allows for system design in any location across the United States.
In this webinar, Jessica Tse (San Francisco Department of the Environment) and Russell Carr (Arup) will introduce the project and provide a live demonstration of the tool’s capabilities.
