The One World Observatory Recently Achieved LEED Gold Certification
Posted by: NSchepis // Student at Bridgewater State
The observatory on the top of New York’s Freedom Tower, known as The One World Observatory, recently achieved LEED Gold Certification. The observatory opened earlier this year on May 29. The new building that towers over Ground Zero, is 1,776 feet tall, making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third tallest in the world. Godsell Construction Corporation partnered with Kamco Supply Corporation to ensure that steps were taken to receive enough credits to achieve the LEED Gold Certification.
