Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. LEED for Homes Green Rater Training with GreenHomes Institute 11/2 3, Webinar (11am-3pm, 4-8pm each day)
Event Description
The LEED for Homes Green Rater Training is designed to prepare qualified participants to provide verification services on LEED for Homes projects.
The GreenHome Institute, formerly The Alliance for Environmental Sustainability (AES) is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to empower people to make healthier and more sustainable choices in the renovation and construction of the places we live.
Audience
This training is intended for professionals with a minimum of three years’ experience in the residential construction industry and basic residential green building knowledge who are interested in providing verification services on LEED for Homes projects. Those with a background in on-site verification and/or energy rating are particularly qualified along with HERS, ASHRAE or BPI professionals.
Where – Webex online platform
When – 4 sessions & 2 days. Thursday and Friday, Nov 2 & 3
11:00 am to 3 pm Est BREAK 4 pm est to 8 pm est each day
Bonus – All trained LEED green raters are qualified to be GreenStar Homes Certification Assessors and DOE Home Energy Score Assessors.
Jason founded Eco Achievers in 2007 to help owners, builders, architects and developers realize that incorporating green building practices is not only achievable but also rewarding. Jason oversees client services helping project teams develop design and construction strategies to build better-performing buildings. Additionally, he directs education programs and helps project teams throughout the upper Midwest build third-party verified green homes that meet LEED and ENERGY STAR standards.
As an experienced speaker and educator, Jason LaFleur instructs on the Appraisal Institute’s green building courses, LEED, GreenStar, Building Science topics. As a practitioner, he works with multifamily clients that want durable Class A buildings with minimal operating expenses, and single family clients pursuing zero energy. He is credentialed LEED for Homes Green Rater, NGBS Green Verifier, RESNET rater, PHIUS+ rater, and Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC). Jason has helped ensure nearly 300 projects spanning single to multi-family midrise are certified to LEED for Homes standards.
