Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Scottsdale Green Building Lecture Series: October 5, 7 -8:30 p.m: The Economic Value of Green Building and Energy Efficiency
Event Description
Scottsdale launches a new green building lecture series featuring local speakers and experts to discuss timely topics and issues involving the future of rooftop solar, green home renovations, toxicity in the home and workplace, edible landscapes, water resources, fresh air ventilation, combating summer heat and repurposing materials for reuse. The lectures are free and held the first Thursday of every other month from October 2017 through June 2018, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Economic Value of Green: Knowledge is EmPOWERing
Local industry experts will speak about energy efficiency as it relates to construction, building codes, energy audits, the HERS index, gaining more value for appraisals, marketing and selling homes with energy-efficient features for the highest possible sale value, where to start first when retrofitting a home with energy-efficient features, and how to add green features to a mortgage. If you're considering retrofitting your home for energy efficient features, learn which features will add the best return on investment and what features might be important for you in your home.
