Event Description

NEEP’s 2017 Strategic Electrification Summit will bring together public officials, energy and air regulators, industry, and advocates to discuss the opportunities associated with electrifying those segments of our building stock, transportation sector, and industry that currently utilize direct on-site combustion of fossil fuels. The Northeast’s unique combination of policy leadership, climate vulnerability, and infrastructure position it well to be a national leader in the shift toward economy-wide decarbonization and electrification, but the question remains: “How Do We Get There from Here?”
David W. Cash, Ph.D., Dean of John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies, UMass Boston will be the Keynote speaker.
