Emerald Evening 2023, September 21, 5:30-9:30 pm, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Event Description
Join Green Building Alliance to celebrate three decades of healthy and high-performing spaces in Western Pennsylvania!
At this year’s event, Green Building Alliance is honoring YOU and your contributions to create a healthier and more resilient region. During this very special evening, Green Building Alliance will celebrate the dedication of the individual and acknowledge the power of our community – the collection of people, partnerships and projects that together are working to address climate change, advance human health, achieve social equity, and create thriving economies.
Presented by Emerald Sponsors, EPIC Metals and Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, this year’s Emerald Evening gala will include live music and entertainment, immersive exploration, exquisite food and drinks, and unmatched networking. Not only that, but you will have the chance to help us envision our region’s next 30 years of sustainability leadership as well.
About Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens:
GBA's 30th anniversary gala is hosted at the majestic Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, home to one of the world’s greenest buildings. Phipps has not only demonstrated early leadership and commitment to sustainable development by being among the first to pursue green building standards like LEED and Living Building Challenge, but it has taken a holistic approach to design, construction, and operations through WELL, Fitwel, Zero Energy, Sustainable SITES, and BREEAM. The organization – which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its record-breaking Center for Sustainable Landscapes this year – uses its interaction with the general public to educate and inspire thousands of people as part of its mission of conservation. Exploration of Phipps Conservatory offers a journey through its evolution of stewardship and innovation – from the historic glass greenhouse to the LEED certified Welcome Center to the Living Buildings of the lower campus and much more. Guests of Emerald Evening will have access to the special events hall, the tropical rainforest, and the lush outdoor lower campus.
