Event Description

The 2025 code cycle takes effect January 1, 2026! This course provides an overview of key changes to Title 24 Part 6 Energy Code, with a focus on architects, builders and others in the construction industry. They’ll provide background on the reasons behind the changes and impacts for projects particularly in the Central Coast region.

Learning Objectives -

  • Understand the organizational changes to the 2025 Energy Code
  • Identify Big Pictures Goals of the California Energy Commission and how those goals influence changes.
  • Recognize key updates including building envelope, lighting, mechanical and DHW systems, renewable energy and storage and field verification.
  • Understand the energy code’s impact for energy performance and indoor air quality.

She consistently helps her clients achieve high energy efficiency, increased occupant comfort, and lower utility costs.

      Grant’s passion for green building and energy analysis, combined with a love of number crunching and technology, guides his focus on energy analysis software, Zero Net Energy design, water reduction strategies, and green certification programs. Grant is the project manager for 3C-REN’s Energy Code Coach service and provides technical Title 24 Part 6 and Part 11 support to building professionals in the region.
