Event Description
Construction Professionals are responsible for completing just a handful of LEED credits, but these credits also have some of the most extensive documentation requirements. The key to successful LEED submission is understanding the nuances of credit requirements, developing a workflow process early, and efficiently compiling and analyzing the necessary backup. After instruction, there will be an interactive activity with a sample submittal and calculator to practice.
This course is based on knowledge and experience in certifying dozens of commercial buildings and provides tried-and-true tips and methodologies to reliably and conveniently track and document the needed data to comply with LEED prerequisites and credits in USGBC building certifications. Both general contractors and subcontractor representatives will benefit from this training.

Jessie Buckmaster has over 12 years of experience in sustainable commercial construction and green building across California. She is a subject matter expert in evaluating healthy and low embodied carbon building materials. As Director of Sustainability for Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction, she provides sustainability expertise and consultation for HDCCo’s projects from preconstruction through certification.
Jessie has worked on numerous sustainable projects including nearly 50 LEED projects and managed the Materials petal for a project pursuing Living Building Challenge certification. She holds credentials for LEED AP BD+C, LFA, and is Board member for USGBC-CA.
