Free Webinar: Ready, Set, Scale. A NEEP Series, May 18, 11 Am EST
Event Description
The Ready, Set, Scale. webinar series focuses on the mechanisms key to rapid, equitable decarbonization of the regional commercial and residential buildings sector. This series will examine strong policies and regulations to address building emissions, market transformation for electric space and water heating, community-led solutions, and replicable program and business models for low-carbon retrofits, all with emphasis on workforce development and equity.
The year long for discussions, analysis, and peer learning around collaborative, multi-state approaches to transform the energy efficiency market. These webinars will provide spaces for diverse industry market actors to come together.
The May webinar will focus on remote virtual inspections (RVI) and off-site construction. Off-site construction practices have become increasingly common as a strategy for addressing the challenges of sustainability, affordability, and quality within the building industry. Regardless of where building components are fabricated, projects must comply with the building codes in place at the final job site. Given separate sites for fabrication and construction, innovative deployment of RVI and third-party inspections address barriers and can help facilitate more off-site construction projects. Of course, the use of RVI is not limited to off-site construction. They are a timesaving measure, and this helps mitigate the effects of an ongoing shortage of code officials.
States and jurisdictions, homeowners, building professionals, and others are welcome and learn from industry professionals how the utilization of RVI and off-site construction practices best support a sustainable market transformation.
