Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

Green Infrastructure Stormwater Management Techniques, September 20, Montclair, NJ
Event Description
With the expanding regulatory push to decrease stormwater volume and improve stormwater quality, increasing attention is being given to the use of green infrastructure stormwater management techniques. While growing popular, these techniques are often misapplied, improperly designed or inadequately maintained.
This one-day class will explore those techniques being implemented on an increasingly frequent basis throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The focus of this program deals with the proper selection, design, implementation and maintenance of green infrastructure techniques commonly used in urban and suburban settings. Multiple site examples will be provided.
Additionally, with the interest of DEP in sustainable remediation, the impacts of capping contaminated sites may be mitigated by the innovative approaches discussed in this course. Therefore, LSRPs are encouraged to attend this program as they should be aware of the alternatives to "hard caps" in reducing stormwater runoff.
