Green Schools Conference
Event Description

The Green Schools Conference (GSC) brings together everyone involved in creating and advocating for green schools, with a focus on those leading their schools and school systems toward whole-school sustainability.

Comprised of four workshops, 24 educational sessions, two mainstage moments, four local tours, and dedicated networking opportunities, GSC is presnted by the Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council and Green Schools National Network. With two full days of interdisciplinary education followed by post conference green building tours, the GSC education program provides participants a plethora of opportunities to meaningfully connect , engage, and learn from likeminded peers in promoting green school initiatives nationwide. The program features a diverse array of topics, including:

  • Environmental Justice & Health Equity: Explore the intersection of environmental issues and public health, and learn how equity can drive community solutions.
  • Communication for Climate Action: Gain insights into effective communication strategies that inspire action and mobilize communities around climate initiatives.
  • Partnerships for Sustainable & Equitable Schools: Discover how collaboration among schools, local organizations, and stakeholders can foster sustainability and equity in education.
  • Healthy, Zero Energy Schools: Learn about innovative practices that transform schools into energy-efficient environments that promote student well-being.
  • Sustainable School Culture & Climate: Delve into strategies for cultivating a school culture that prioritizes sustainability and engages students in climate advocacy.

Each session is designed to be interactive and informative, providing practical tools and resources to help participants implement positive changes in their communities. Join us to be part of the solution and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future!
