Jumping in to the JUST Certification, February 26, St. Louis, MO
Event Description
JUST is a voluntary disclosure tool developed by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) intended to help organizations optimize policies that improve social equity and enhance employee engagement. It requires reporting on a range of organization- and employee-related indicators, including how the organization treats their employees and where they make financial and community investments. Each of the indicator metrics asks for simple yet specific and measurable accountabilities in order for the organization to be recognized at a One, Two, or Three Star Level, which is then summarized on a label.
Jumping in to JUST will begin with a brief overview of ILFI, then dive in to the JUST program. Attendees will learn about the benefits of social equity and its relation to people, planet, profit. Overlap with the LEED Social Equity Credits will also be covered.
The second half of the session will be an interactive workshop, giving participants an opportunity to understand the applicability of the JUST label and LEED Social Equity Credits. Attendees will be given scorecards and asked to assess their own organizations in groups. The working session will conclude with an open discussion of successes and challenges of the program.
