Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. NEW YORK | LBC 4.0 WORKSHOP, September 5, New York, NY
Event Description
The Living Building Challenge is an advocacy tool and certification program that addresses development at all scales. LBC 4.0 aims to improve buildings in the realms of health, community, equity, energy, water, and beyond.
Attendees will identify the key components of the Living Building Challenge and discuss the rationale for restorative design principles. Attendees will then address design strategies for meeting place, water, energy, and materials performance requirements and health, happiness, beauty, and equity design considerations. Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will be able to compare the certification pathways available to LBC project teams, explain the key reasons for the latest changes to the LBC and reference examples of recent LBC innovation.
This workshop is pre-approved for the below CEUs. Reporting will be managed according to the accrediting body. ILFI will issue digital certificates to all attendees based upon receipt of the sign-in sheet from the Co-host.
4 LFA CE credits
This workshop fulfills 4 LFA Foundational CE credits and can be reported as a substitute for the 'Understanding the Living Building Challenge' course.
4 AIA LU|HSW
ILFI will report AIA credits on the behalf of attendees that provide an AIA Member Number at the time of registration.
