Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Opening Reception for HarvestGreen by Foundation for a Green Future, October 23, 6-8pm, Boston, MA
Event Description
Boston is building at an unprecedented rate while not enough thought has been given to green infrastructure. The impact of urban heat island is increasing along with rising temperatures due to climate change. Sea level rise and flooding is at Boston’s shores. HarvestGreen will provide a forum to highlight elements of design that provide elegant yet reasonable solutions to better control urban climate, stormwater and sea level rise.
Escape Your Office and Leap into HarvestGreen: Join us for almost a week-long program!
Who should come? Designers, planners, realtors, lawyers, accountants, business people, property owners, property managers, developers, water experts, park officials, environmentalists, energy experts, engineers, health officials, doctors, nurses, policymakers, decision makers, and anyone willing to learn something new.
Throughout the week, from Wednesday to Friday, October 24-26, the exhibit will be open and free to visit. As well, there will be two lunch & learn sessions each day discussing new topics about greening Boston.

FOUNDATION FOR A GREEN FUTURE (Event Organizer)
is dedicated to ensuring a green future for our planet and is proud to host this event. We teach, support and model sustainable ways to live for ourselves and our children. We believe green roofs are an important part of the solution.
6:00 pm: Walk across the street to Da Vinci Ristorante at 162 Columbus Avenue to continue the conversation with food and drinks, specially prepared for us by Chef Peppino. Da Vinci Ristorante exudes warmth and sophistication; it has been touted as "the best Italian fine dining in Boston" by Zagat.
