Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. Passive House: Barriers And Pathways to Scale on March 29, 6-8 pm, NY, NY
Event Description
From a design perspective, it is feasible to implement Passive House in NYC's high rise buildings. So what is stopping developers from taking the plunge and pursuing such projects? How much risk (real & perceived) is there for a developer to pursue a PH project? Are PH projects more daunting to a contractor?
This event will describe how NYC can overcome existing barriers in getting to the next level—implementing Passive House at scale. Attendees will walk away with knowledge of the best practices to educate their clients pursuing Passive House projects, as well as an understanding of the feasibility of scaling this effort.
Identify the key challenges faced by contractors when working on passive house projects
Apply lessons learned and Integrate concerns posited during the event into future projects/proposals
