Statewide Climate Resiliency Strategy Roundtable, Oct 18, 1-3pm, Hope Valley, Rhode Island
Event Description

RI is gathering input from community leaders from across the state on climate change impacts now and in the future. The input will help inform Rhode Island's first climate resiliency strategy. We hope you can join us at the next Resiliency Roundtable focusing on Exeter, Hopkinton, and Richmond.

Our state is uniquely vulnerable and is already experiencing related effects. But we are also leaders, working aggressively to strengthen our State’s preparedness and to mitigate further environmental harm.

On September 15, Governor Gina Raimondo signed an executive action to accelerate this work, directing the development of a statewide strategy.

R.I. is asking for your help to recommend key actions and investments to make Rhode Island’s residents, economy, infrastructure, health system, and natural resources more resilient to the impact of climate change.

To identify these actions and local resiliency priorities we are hosting a series of "Resiliency Roundtables" with the community, business, academic, and municipal leaders to gather diverse perspectives in specific geographies across the state.
