Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. RGBC Meeting with Rick Nortz from Mitsubishi by USGBC Massachusetts Chapter, Nov 13, Boston
Event Description
The Residential Green Building Committee is focused on improving the housing stock of the Commonwealth by championing green building practices in our communities. Join us on the second Monday of each month to be a part of the movement.
This meeting's guest speaker will be Rick Nortz from Mitsubishi.
Rick will be speaking about the benefits and proper applications of Cold Climate Heat Pumps. He will also review programs available in Massachusetts offered by the state and local utilities to promote the use of these systems.
Cold Climate Heat Pumps, introduced around 2010 are seriously changing the paradigm and turning skeptics into believers in heat pumps.

Rick Nortz is the Manager of Utility and Efficiency Program at Mitsubishi Electric. Rick has been in the industry for nearly 15 years, working the first 7 years for an HVAC contractor in Metro-West before moving to a manufacturer. In his current role, he works with programs that promote heat pumps due to their energy efficiency benefits both residentially and commercially. Mitsubishi Electric has been manufacturing and selling heat pumps in the United States for over 35 years.
Over the last 10 years, Mitsubishi Electric has been the market leader in the fastest growing segment of the HVAC industry, ductless heat pumps.
