product information
Description: Popular with interior design professionals, our Distressed or hand scrapped bamboo flooring is wide plank and in Caramel, Cherry, and Mocha tones. The darker tones of this floor showcase rooms with plentiful light, and overall it projects a relaxed formality. This flooring is also available, special order, in an 8-ply engineered construction.
Environmental Statement: Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource and grows to maturity in 5-7 years. At that time it can be harvested and will regrow without having to replant therefore causing very little soil runoff.

The floor looks amazing. It's hard or harder than many woods. Compared with other materials, the price was very reasonable. And most importantly, as a rapidly renewable plant, bamboo flooring is better for the environment.Highly recommend Ambient.

Additional Comments
Raw materials: There's obviously some impact on the environment when the bamboo is extracted. The hope is that because it is a rapidly renewable resource, we are causing less damage. Where bamboo is from China, difficult to determine standards used.
Raw materials: Not certain
Installation/Application: No issues - looks great
Quality/Durability: Quality - appears great. Durability - too early to tell. I've only had the flooring for a couple of weeks.
Toxicity: I've been told that the glue used recommended by Ambient is environmentally friendly.
Resource Recovery: Not certain.
Corporate Policies: Based on Ambient's website, it appears to be a high priority for them.
First Costs/Price: Well priced, looks great, and better for the environment
Lifecycle Costs: Not certain.
