Event Description
We’ve mastered grandma’s sourdough recipe and our gardens are blooming. As we continue to work from home and the world begins to reopen, we’re focused on learning and preparing for the healthier future we all want to build.
Join Kirei on May 22nd, 2020 at 11am EDT/8am PDT for Acoustics & Health, a live CEU webinar where we’ll discuss how sound interacts within buildings and how this affects occupant health, while providing strategies and solutions to create better sounding spaces.
Learning Objectives
• Explore the technical aspects of sound including sound types, sound quality, and measuring sound.
• Define the properties of sound and acoustic performance such as transmission, reflection, diffusion and absorption and how to utilize those properties to design the perfect sound for that space.
• Discuss how sound interacts within buildings and how this affects occupant health including how to mitigate sound issues that arise from open concept and biophilic design.
• Identify specific applications for better sound quality and control in varying types of spaces to assure that the applications perform the intended purpose.
