Atlanta Design Festival, Design is Human Conference, October 4-5, and Green Architecture Tours, October 8-9
Event Description
Atlanta Design Festival is dedicated to helping Atlanta businesses understand what a design economy means to economic growth and where resources are best invested.
The Design is Human Conference takes place October 4 and 5. The Design is Human Conference brings together design-minded leaders across business, non-profit, academia and the arts to explore the ways design can drive radical transformation in business, climate, culture and community. This year's Design is Human theme is "Redefining More." Redefining More is a direct challenge to the status quo with progression in mind, trailblazing a pathway to a ‘more’ sustainable future for generations to come. Redefining More values the virtues in life that ‘more’ — more sustainable, more circular, more equality, more humanity — and so much more, can make cities become great cities.
Redefining More is also far-reaching and will have a lasting impact on the environment, transportation, manufacturing, and construction, placing emphasis on becoming a design-driven economy. Redefining More is reflected in this year’s festival program, changing behavior and practices to make Atlanta more than ever imagined.
Green Tours will also be offered as part of the festival, October 8 and 9. For more information: https://atlantadesignfestival.net/takepart/#tour
Most people do understand that design has something of a role in our everyday life. It shapes the products and services we use and the world we live in. However, not everyone understands the impact of design’s real potential in Atlanta’s economic growth.
The Atlanta Design Festival seeks to develop Atlanta’s growing design economy revolution including promoting industry, commerce and culture. Billions annually is spent directly and indirectly on design in Atlanta and the southeast; and decision-makers are increasingly looking for new and imaginative products and solutions that bring bold ideas to life.
