Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Celebrate 10 Years of the Buckminster Fuller Challenge, Nov 10 -11, Brooklyn, NY
Event Description
Celebrate ten years of the Buckminster Fuller Challenge with a once in a lifetime gathering of past winners and design thought leaders.
Also, an award ceremony to honor 3 Finalists, 2 Runners-up and confer the $100,000 grand prize to the 2017 Winner
Representatives from each project will make brief remarks about their work.
You must register for separate tickets for each individual event. The events are free and open to the public, but there is a suggested donation of $25. You may purchase a boxed lunch with your ticket for the symposium on Saturday, November 11th.
The Design Revolution - How is Bucky’s call for a Design Science Revolution (1961) going? What is the role of design in solving the complex problems of our era? How can nature-inspired, biomimetic, regenerative, and “design science” approaches achieve better outcomes than design has in our past? How do we accelerate the adoption of these approaches? How do we incentivize more resources to flow toward projects taking the anticipatory 'long view'? What do we need in order to better leverage visionary and innovative design approaches?
