Free Two-Part Webinar: Transportation Electrification and its Impacts on the Built Environment, November 18 & 20, 9-11 am PT
Event Description
This course describes how the push to electrify transportation can impact the grid. Participants will explore the impact of electric vehicles (EVs) on building operations and the potential cascade effect of charger installation and utilization on service and panel upgrades in neighborhood buildings. Participants will also explore ways that EVs can benefit the grid, examine relevant time of use (TOU) rate options, and survey incentives related to EV charging equipment. By the end of this course, learners will understand how residential and commercial buildings can better plan for EV charging.
Learning Objectives:
Articulate the driving forces behind transportation electrification
Differentiate between the types of EVs and their environmental impact relative to each other and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles
