Free Webinar: Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) and Variable Speed Fans, Non Residential, May 16, 8:30am-1pm PT
Event Description
In order to better control commercial buildings during occupied periods and comply with new Title 24 code requirements, this class will provide contractors with a full understanding of demand control ventilation and variable speed fan control strategies. PG&E resource program rebates will also be addressed, as they apply to DCV and variable speed fan control.
The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:
- Background of roof top units, and commercial quality maintenance program
- Review of indoor air quality and economizers
- How demand control ventilation works, energy savings, installation and testing
- How variable air volume works, energy savings, installation and testing
- Safety practices
- Hands-on installation training demand control ventilation
- Hands-On installation training variable air volume
- Wrap-up, Q&A, post-course evaluation
Mr. Harleman is a licensed mechanical engineer and a Principal at KW Engineering. He has worked in the energy efficiency industry since 1995. His experience includes on site-energy audits, design assistance, simulation modeling, field data collection, and measurement and verification. He has conducted audits at dozens of commercial, agricultural, and industrial facilities. His energy audits have included investigations of HVAC, lighting, refrigeration, and process equipment.
