Event Description

This webinar is an introduction to electrifying common gas burning technologies used in agricultural product processing, such as boilers and steamers in dairies, creameries, canneries and breweries. The webinar will also cover other equipment such as dehydrators and smokers and they will discuss the practical features of electric equipment such as costs, benefits and challenges.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Plan for the substitution of gas-burning farm processing equipment with efficient electric equivalents
  • Describe the different electrified technologies used in agricultural product processing
  • Explain how heat pump boilers work and their uses agricultural processing.

    • Sean Armstrong

      Sean Armstrong was raised on a Wisconsin farm, has been part of seven farming businesses, co-owns a working ranch, and consults nationally on all-electric buildings and equipment. Sean has co-authored eight practical design guides for all-electric design and equipment and helps manufacturers invent new electric products. He has designed half of the all-electric new construction in California between 2010-2020.
