Event Description
This is a San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) class. In part one of this three part Home Energy Series, PG&E will decipher your energy bill so you can start to reduce it or set the foundation to even drive it down to $0 with solar PV and energy storage. This session will outline actionable steps for where to begin when it comes to upgrading the energy efficiency of your home. Instructor Spencer Rosen will offer a primer on the different rate structures, including time of use rate structures, and which rate structure may be best for your home.
PG&E will also review information about your energy usage and the systems contributing to your home's energy. Learn specifically what to look for and how to evaluate your home’s energy systems. Learn how to decipher your energy bill so you can gather the key information to guide home energy project decisions. This webinar will leave you empowered to understand your energy use and energy bill.
The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:
- Overview of the Home Energy Series
- Taking the whole-home energy approach for your energy projects
- Prioritizing opportunities for maximizing comfort and energy savings
- Rate plans and energy bills
Spencer Rosen is a San Diego based home energy consultant, whole home performance contractor, and the founder of Home Energy Academy. He holds licenses as a general contractor, electrical contractor and realtor in the State of California. His experience includes performing home energy evaluations on over 1,000 homes in San Diego County, and he has completed over 100 whole home energy conversions. Spencer is a Certified Building Performance Institute Analyst and Envelope Professional, a CalCERTS Whole Home Energy Rater, Building Performance Contractor and an NABCEP Accredited PV Technical Sales Professional.
