    • "Hi, I’m Spencer, aka Your Proud Home Energy Nerd. Although I’ve been I the clean energy industry approaching 20 years and have a laundry list of home energy certifications, and have worn many hats, mostly I want you to know that my greatest asset to you is the fact that I have the practical experience of running my own home energy audit and whole-home upgrade company, Energy Integrity, for approx. 8 years.

I would go into people’s homes, crawl around their attics, remove low-efficiency materials and equipment, seal leaks, upgrade windows, replace ducts, add insulation, upgrade heating + cooling systems, and install solar energy and battery systems. And the results were insane. People couldn’t believe their homes were at a comfortable temperature all year round, and their energy bills were the best they’ve ever looked.

But I knew I wanted to do more than crawl around hot, dirty attics. I wanted to change the way every single homeowner views their home’s energy usage. I wanted people to see the opportunities I saw. So after participated in various rebate and advocacy programs I developed a great relationship local utilities, and started teaching courses on home energy upgrades. It’s taken off as people just love feeling empowered with knowledge for where they spend most of their time. We welcome you to any upcoming courses so you too can become the expert of your home’s energy."
