Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Green Leaders for Local Impact Retreat, June 8, 1 - 5pm, Arlington, VA
Event Description
The Green Leaders Retreat will provide you with insights, skills, and connections for making a positive green impact in our world.
Join for an afternoon of inspiration and action with fellow Green Leaders on Friday, June 8 from 1-5 pm at Potomac Overlook Regional Park, Arlington, Va. This retreat is for individual leaders seeking to gain inspiration and connection with ourselves and others and further develop their leadership skills. You may be a leader in your job, community, or of one, seeking to shape a better future.
The retreat will examine how local leaders can translate larger global goals into action into their communities.
In developing our insights on what is needed in the world and how we – as individual and community leaders – can step forward to “Be the Change.” The retreat will examine several of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in particular, #7 (Affordable Clean Energy), #8 (Decent Work); and #9 (Resilience). These three goals will be explored, in addition to the larger SDG framework, as one of several approaches to share existing knowledge and allow new ideas to emerge and be jointly developed.
These goals can often seem out of the touch with our daily lives, how can we bring these actions to the local level? Can we begin to develop some local or personal SDGs?
