Greening USA's 14th Annual Meeting, "The Big Tent, Moving Beyond Preaching to the Choir," May 10, Syracuse, NY
Event Description
GreeningUSA's 14th Annual Meeting
facilitated by Chris Bolt, News Director, WAER Public Media
Breakfast will be available. All are welcome!
This event is free but you must register since seating is limited.
Responding to the lack of leadership from Washington, this Annual Meeting will include a program focusing on strategies for collaboration and recruiting new people in order to make our joint efforts more successful in creating a sustainable future for everyone.
Organizations are invited to briefly share:
The primary mission and activities of their organization
Strategies they use to facilitate collaborative actions with like-minded groups
Efforts to bring in new people
What worked and what didn’t work
Individuals unaffiliated with an organization are encouraged to participate and consider becoming involved with future efforts.
Goals:
Local Focus: How can we provide the leadership missing on the national level?
View sustainability issues through the lens of environmental, social & economic justice.
Create a follow-up plan to work together on issues of common interest.
We hope you agree that collaboration is vital and accept our challenge to participate on May 10. We believe that by tearing down silos which isolate, and replacing them with a network that connects, we can achieve far more. Can we count on your participation?
Meeting Day Agenda:
7:30-8:00 am – Breakfast and Networking
8:00-8:15 am – Welcome & GreeningUSA’s “Sustaining Our Communities” Awards
8:15-8:30 am – GreeningUSA’s Report to Members
