Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

Event Description
This course introduces the HERS Index and explores how it’s used to comply with the building code. Basic building science principles will be covered and how they relate to the Performance Path option in the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Explore the HERS Index rating system as a tool used to successfully design and build houses that comply with building code requirements. Learn guiding principles used by HERS Raters to rate a home and produce a HERS Index Score. Review energy rating software and how manipulating construction assemblies effects the HERS Score.

This professional development course delivers practical and applicable information ideal for realtors, designers, architects, new home salespeople, manufacturing representatives, sustainability students, and anyone working for a rating firm, home builder, or residential trade contractor.
Learning Objectives:
Participate in all 5 modules, take and pass the test at the end, and earn the HERS Associate Designation!*
