mindful Materials - Commit to Change Seattle, Wednesday, May 1, 7:30-9 am PDT
Event Description
If we change the way products are made and the way buildings are designed, we can positively impact the health of the population and the planet.
Every architect, designer and contractor looking for healthy, sustainable materials knows how challenging it can be. Finding products with the right documentation for LEEDv4.1 or WELL, assessing embodied emissions for Zero Carbon Building projects, or just maintaining a material library in a rapidly changing environment all present significant investments in time and resources.
Similarly, industry is evolving to meet demands for both better materials and increased transparency expectations for the disclosure of material and ingredient information in products. Manufacturers have invested in programs like C2C, HPD, EPD and Declare so that you know more about the materials that you specify.
Come learn about how the Mindful Materials program will simplify the material health/product transparency specifications for the A&D community.
This event will show how designers, contractors, manufacturers, and owners can all design with intent for the health of our people and our planet. Learn how manufacturers have invested in programs like C2C, HPD, EPD and Declare so that design professionals know more about the materials that we specify.
Coffee & continental breakfast will be served to start the day!
